Patient Support Specialist

As a Patient Support Specialist, you will be the first point of contact for patients and visitors, providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a smooth experience. Your responsibilities will include greeting patients, answering phones, and checking in patients for appointments, as well as verifying insurance eligibility and collecting payments.
Key Responsibilities:- Greet patients and visitors, answer phones, and check in patients for appointments
- Verify insurance eligibility and collect payments
- Complete assigned daily reports to maintain office efficiency
- Provide exceptional customer service and ensure a smooth experience for patients
- Work collaboratively with assigned staff and providers to ensure patient needs are met
- High school diploma/GED or equivalent previous experience
- Sound communication skills
- Excellent customer service skills
- Previous experience as a check-in specialist is recommended, but not required
- Experience and knowledge of insurance guidelines and insurance entry
- Ability to handle high patient volumes and maintain composure in stressful situations
