Job Summary:
This position is responsible for providing maintenance and repair services to ensure the efficient operation of equipment and facilities. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in industrial maintenance and a proven ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in all activities relating to maintenance, including break downs, re-builds, modifications, and start-ups for equipment and facility.
- Operation of equipment to meet production targets focusing on throughput, efficiency, quality, safety, and regulatory requirements.
- Complete preventative maintenance requirements.
- Support subcontractors performing modifications and repairs on existing equipment as well as the implementation of any new equipment.
- Support and assist in equipment and facility sanitation tasks.
- Support and assist Maintenance Manager in overall facility operations systems.
- Provide input and make recommendations to Maintenance Manager for process improvements regarding equipment and overall facility operations systems.
- Comply with all regulatory requirements.
- Individually and collectively responsible for tools, parts, and supplies to minimize equipment downtime, maximize efficiency, and efficient utilization of resources.
- Individually and collectively responsible for maintenance shop upkeep to ensure safe working conditions, regulatory compliance, and appropriate care for company assets.
- Maintain current certifications/licenses for all necessary equipment as applicable.
- Possess the physical ability to stand for an entire shift, lift and carry up to 60 pounds, squat, bend, twist, lift, perform manual dexterity functions, and have the visual acuity for proper equipment quality assessments.
- Serve as temporary acting supervisor concerning production requirements, safety, quality, and sanitation during such a time that the Production Supervisor is called from duty to provide assistance to another employee or for a given situation either on site or off-site.
- Must be able to work all shifts and weekends scheduled or unscheduled as necessary.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma plus five years industrial maintenance or operations experience; or a combination of education and experience.
- Mechanically biased with solid knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, conveyers, electronics, calibrations, and automated production equipment.
- Have and maintain a valid driver's license.
- Possess a clean driving record.
