Position Overview:

This is a senior-level role providing expert financial, technical, and auditing support to the Agency for Health Care Administration's (AHCA) leadership and program personnel in the formulation, development, and execution of policies, procedures, and programs related to fiscal obligations imposed by federal, state, and local authorities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct collection initiatives, including correspondence with providers, payment identification, and documentation for legal action on overdue accounts.
  • Oversee accounts receivable cases and ensure compliance with repayment schedules.
  • Assist Agency staff and auditors with inquiries regarding Medicaid accounts receivable and overdue invoices.
  • Research financial transactions, establish new cases, and manage deposits within the designated accounting system.
  • Maintain precise electronic ledgers reflecting account activities and uphold a systematic filing system.
  • Process and track all administrative orders related to overdue collections.
  • Collaborate with Agency personnel and facility representatives to develop and negotiate payment plans to resolve outstanding debts.
  • Monitor and report on various revenue types, ensuring effective communication with provider representatives and other state departments.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
