About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled MRI Technologist to join our team at UNC Health. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging team, you will be responsible for producing high-quality MRI scans under the clinical direction of a Radiologist.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Ensure accurate patient information, examination requests, and image quality, while maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
  2. Utilize RIS, CIS, PACS, and SMS systems to access information, document procedures, and transmit images to PACS.
  3. Verify patient identity, obtain relevant medical history, and assess physical condition to determine the best course of action for each examination.
  4. Participate in quality control and troubleshooting activities to ensure optimal equipment performance and patient safety.
  5. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide exceptional patient care and education.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited school or program of Radiologic Technology.
  • Current Registration with American Registry of Radiologic Radiographers with up-to-date continuing education credits.
  • Advanced registration in MRI with ARRT.
  • At least two years of imaging experience, with at least one year of experience in MRI.
