Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled Diagnostic Imaging Specialist to join our team as a Traveling Sonographer for a 13-week assignment in Rocky Mount, North Carolina. As a Diagnostic Imaging Specialist, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining medical imaging equipment, preparing patients for exams, and producing high-quality images for diagnostic purposes.
Responsibilities:
- Operate and maintain medical imaging equipment, including ultrasound machines and other diagnostic imaging devices
- Prepare patients for exams, including explaining procedures and positioning patients for optimal image quality
- Produce high-quality images for diagnostic purposes, including ultrasound, echocardiogram, and other imaging modalities
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure accurate diagnoses and effective patient care
- Maintain accurate records and reports of patient exams and imaging results
Requirements:
- Associate's degree or higher in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or related field
- Current certification in Diagnostic Medical Sonography (RDMS) or related specialty
- 2+ years of experience as a Diagnostic Imaging Specialist or related role
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
