About the Role

The X-Labs Operations team at Comcast is seeking a highly skilled Technical Program Manager to drive the strategic execution of critical and cross-functional technical innovation programs within Comcast's National Labs.

This is a unique opportunity to join a team that accelerates the innovation of Comcast's next-generation architectures and products, and to contribute to the development and refinement of program strategy, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and industry trends.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage end-to-end execution of Comcast's National Lab technical programs, ensuring adherence to timelines, scope, and budget constraints.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, project management, and quality assurance, to drive programmatic success.
  • Contribute to the development and refinement of program strategy, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and industry trends.
  • Work closely with stakeholders to define program objectives, milestones, and success criteria.
  • Proactively identify and mitigate risks throughout the program lifecycle, ensuring potential issues are addressed before they impact deliverables.
  • Develop contingency plans and escalate issues as necessary.
  • Provide regular status updates, reports, and presentations to executive leadership and key stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with resource managers to ensure adequate allocation of personnel, equipment, and resources to meet program objectives.
  • Optimize resource utilization and identify opportunities for efficiency improvements.
  • Work closely with quality assurance teams to define and implement testing strategies, ensuring the delivery of high-quality products and solutions.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives based on feedback and lessons learned.
  • Foster a collaborative and inclusive work environment, promoting effective communication and teamwork across diverse teams and departments.
  • Act as a bridge between technical and non-technical stakeholders, ensuring alignment on goals and expectations.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree with intermediate experience (2+ years) in technical program management within a technology organization, or equivalent.
  • PMP or other relevant certifications are a plus.
  • Basic understanding of technology, Project Management standards, and market trends.
  • Exceptional project management skills with a track record of successfully delivering technical programs on time and within budget.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate at multiple levels of the organization.
  • Experience with professional communication and documentation tooling, such as Microsoft Office Suite (Teams, PowerPoint, Office, Excel, etc.), Microsoft Project, Smartsheet, or equivalent.
  • A self-starter who demonstrates critical thinking, self-motivation, time-management, courage, and curiosity.
