Key Responsibilities:


1. Develop a comprehensive personal and financial wealth profile for clients and their families, identifying wealth-related life objectives in collaboration with the Lead Relationship Manager, if applicable.

2. Design and execute, in partnership with the client's professional advisors and Northern Trust colleagues, a wealth strategy that encompasses wealth management, transfer, and tax efficiency goals.

3. Collaborate with the Regional Wealth Advisor to design and model wealth strategies for ultra-high net worth clients when a Regional Wealth Advisor is involved.

4. Work closely with the Portfolio Manager, Regional Wealth Advisor, Trust Advisor, Banker, and other Northern Trust professionals to implement the client's wealth strategy.

5. Regularly monitor and update the client’s wealth strategy.

6. Actively assist in the sales process and identify opportunities to enhance client relationships through the introduction of new Northern Trust products and services.

7. Mentor Associate Wealth Advisors and Wealth Advisors.

8. Engage in the cultivation of professional advisor relationships, including participation in professional conferences and networks.

9. Operate independently with a deep understanding of the business unit/function.

10. As a subject matter expert, provide comprehensive consulting and leadership to team members and partners at a high technical level.

11. Manage activities that are extensive in scope, cross-functional, and technically challenging.

12. Balance high-level operational execution with the development and execution of strategic business function activities.

13. Conduct preliminary analyses and interact directly with various committees and management.

14. Strategically develop, implement, and administer programs within functional areas.


Qualifications:

Extensive knowledge of wealth transfer planning, taxation, estate planning solutions, and wealth management products and services, typically acquired through significant experience with high/ultra-high net worth clients in financial services, law, or consulting.

Broad technical and analytical skills in wealth planning, wealth transfer, tax, philanthropy, fiduciary practice, asset location, and preservation.

Strong interpersonal skills and a proactive consultative approach.

Experience: 5-7 years of wealth planning experience with high/ultra-high net worth individuals and families in a comprehensive capacity; advanced educational and professional designations such as CFP, JD, MBA, or similar qualifications are preferred.
