Job Overview

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure adherence to Key Performance Indicators and Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures (SSOPs) for all production activities, maintaining optimal productivity.
  • Keep the facility and equipment in a state of readiness for audits at all times.
  • Monitor daily operations proactively to mitigate risks affecting food safety, product quality, and overall productivity.
  • Understand and apply chemical specifications effectively for various processing and packaging equipment.
  • Provide training to sanitation and plant staff to meet sanitation goals.
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive Master Sanitation Schedule along with relevant documentation.
  • Adhere to established cleaning frequencies outlined in the Master Sanitation Schedule.
  • Identify areas for improvement and lead initiatives for continuous enhancement.
  • Collaborate with the Quality Assurance Manager to address quality concerns.
  • Manage the sanitation program with minimal oversight.
  • Enforce safety protocols and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) while ensuring a clean working environment.

Qualifications

  • Fluency in both English and Spanish is required.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Self-motivated with a proactive attitude.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Capable of working independently as well as collaboratively.
  • Excellent time management abilities.
  • Familiarity with USDA, FDA, SQF, and OSHA regulations.
  • Prior experience in sanitation is essential.
  • Supervisory experience is preferred.
