Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Security Specialist to join our team at ALS Education LLC. As a key member of our staff, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety and security of our students, faculty, staff, and visitors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with the daily arrival and dismissal of students, including parent pick-up, to ensure a smooth and secure process.
  • Collaborate with the Principal to develop and implement safety procedures and drills, aligning with school policies and procedures.
  • Manage the collection, storage, and disposal of confiscated items from students, adhering to school guidelines.
  • Provide training and support to contracted uniformed police and security officers, as needed, to ensure they are equipped to handle various situations.
  • Conduct regular sanitation, safety, and facility readiness checks to maintain a clean and secure environment.
  • Efficiently manage and distribute bus passes to students.
  • Assist in maintaining the campus to school standards and guidelines.
  • Provide training to school staff on crisis prevention and other approved school policies and procedures to address and control student violence and aggression.
  • Conduct regular sanitation and safety surveys to identify areas for improvement.
  • Support initiatives to ensure the school meets defined FTE enrollment and attendance goals.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • A High School Diploma or GED is required.
  • Previous experience working with disruptive and/or low-performing and at-risk youth is preferred.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) and experience in facilities maintenance are preferred.
