Job SummaryWe are seeking an experienced Food Outlets Supervisor to manage and guide the day-to-day operations of our food and beverage outlets. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring a positive guest experience, leading and empowering employees, and maximizing financial contributions to the outlets.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and direct bar operations, including budgeting, forecasting, purchasing, and inventory control
- Manage and develop the performance of employees, including supervision, professional development, scheduling, coaching, counseling, and evaluations
- Train workers in food and beverage presentation, service, sanitation, and safety procedures
- Determine schedules, sequences, and assignments for work activities, based on work priority, business forecast, payroll budget guidelines, and productivity requirements
- Function as a liaison between guests and the hotel, maintaining a high level of customer service
- Implement effective control of food, beverage, labor costs, and operating expenses within the department to company standards
- Continuously evaluate the performance and encourage improvement of team members in the food and beverage department
- Communicate clearly and effectively to provide directions to staff
- Analyze operational problems, such as theft and wastage, and establish procedures to alleviate these problems
- Evaluate and recommend measures for improving work procedures and worker performance to increase service quality and enhance job safety
- Ability to handle sensitive, confidential information discreetly and professionally
- Strong detail orientation, ability to set priorities, multi-task, and meet deadlines
- Basic computer skills, proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Excellent problem-solving skills, including the ability to solve problems without direct supervision
- Food and beverage leadership experience within an upscale bar/hotel preferred
- Strong personnel training background with an ability to teach and mentor others
- Minimum of two years of experience in a food and beverage or related field, and supervisory experience
- Multilingual skills are preferred
