Job Title: Production Support Specialist II

At Blue Origin, we're pushing the boundaries of space exploration and development. As a Production Support Specialist II, you'll play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our production processes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate with Production Control to manage the flow of materials to manufacturing work centers.
  • Collaborate with interdepartmental teams to optimize warehouse, quality inspection, non-conformance review board, purchasing, and logistics processes.
  • Schedule and expedite the movement of parts using move orders, stock transfers, and shipping requests.
  • Monitor and respond to technician parts needs, including replacements for non-conforming parts and delivery of items to complete operations.
  • Partner with Production Control to ensure work completes on time to schedule and monitor the flow/velocity of jobs through the production line.
  • Work cross-functionally to expedite material shortages and enter material transactions in the ERP system.
  • Process scrap and obsolete inventory from WIP locations as required and prepare for, conduct, and assist in reconciliation of cycle counts.
  • Maintain clean and safe work areas following company policies and industry best practices (5S).
  • Identify, catalog, and report manufacturing delays, sources, and resolutions needed to Operations Supervisors and Managers.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma, Accredited GED, or equivalent vocational certifications or training.
  • 2+ years of experience in Inventory Control, Tool Crib, Material Handling, and/or Expediting.
  • Experience with Materials Requirement Planning (MRP) or Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems and/or inventory control applications.
  • Ability to safely drive a forklift and perform acute work.
  • Ability to lift 50lbs, unassisted.
  • Strong computer skills, familiar with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of welding consumables and tooling.
  • Ability to handle multiple duties concurrently based on workload dispersion, program priorities, and management and customer decisions.
