Member Services Representative

We are seeking a dedicated Member Services Representative to become a vital part of our Member Services Department. This role is essential in delivering exceptional service to our members and providers.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

As a Member Services Representative, you will report to the Member Services Supervisor and be responsible for:

  • Serving as the primary customer service representative within the department, assisting members and providers with their inquiries.
  • Coordinating and facilitating non-medical transportation benefits for our members.

  • Required Knowledge:
    • Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish
    • Customer service principles
    • Strong command of grammar, spelling, punctuation, and formatting
    • Proficiency in Windows-based PC systems, including Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and database management
  • Essential Abilities:
    • Comprehend and convey the intricate operations and processes of the organization, particularly those associated with Member Services and Care Management.
    • Translate complex healthcare terminology and processes into clear, understandable language for members and providers.
    • Effectively utilize various computer systems, including the alliance information system and external databases.
    • Exhibit strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Education and Experience:
    • High school diploma or equivalent required.
    • A minimum of two years of experience in customer service, preferably in member services, healthcare, public assistance, or a call center environment (an Associate's degree may substitute for one year of the required experience); or an equivalent combination of education and experience that provides the necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

  • This position operates in a hybrid work environment, with remote interviews conducted via Microsoft Teams.
  • Attendance at quarterly company-wide events or department meetings may be required.
  • In-office or community presence may be necessary for certain roles based on business needs.

COMPENSATION

The compensation range for this position varies by location, and will be determined based on our compensation philosophy, analysis of the selected candidate's qualifications, and other relevant factors.

Our benefits package is available to all regular employees working more than 30 hours per week, with some benefits available on a pro-rated basis for part-time employees. Temporary employees are not eligible for these benefits.
