Member Services Representative

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Under the guidance of the Member Services Supervisor, your responsibilities will include:

  • Serving as the primary customer service representative, offering support to both members and providers.
  • Coordinating and facilitating non-medical transportation services for our members.

  • Essential Knowledge:
    • Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is required.
    • Experience in customer service.
    • Strong command of grammar, spelling, punctuation, and formatting.
    • Proficiency in Windows-based PC systems, including Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and database management.
  • Required Skills:
    • Ability to comprehend and convey the intricate operations of the Alliance, especially in relation to Member Services and Care Management.
    • Skill in translating complex healthcare terminology into clear, straightforward language for effective communication with members and providers.
    • Proficiency in utilizing various computer systems, including the Alliance information system and external databases.
    • Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Education and Experience:
    • A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
    • A minimum of two years of experience in customer service within member services, healthcare, public assistance, or human services, or in a customer service or call center setting. An Associate's degree may substitute for one year of the required experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience that provides the necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

  • This position operates in a hybrid work environment, with interviews conducted remotely.
  • Attendance at quarterly company-wide events or department meetings may be required.
  • In-office or community presence may be necessary for certain roles, depending on business needs.

COMPENSATION

The compensation range for this position varies by location. The actual salary will be determined based on our compensation philosophy, the qualifications of the selected candidate, and other relevant factors.

Available for all regular employees working more than 30 hours per week, with some benefits offered on a pro-rated basis for part-time employees. Temporary employees are not eligible for these benefits.
