Key Responsibilities:
  • Partner with the EHS Manager to develop and implement safety policies and procedures that align with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
  • Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify and mitigate potential hazards.
  • Investigate incidents and near-misses to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
  • Develop and deliver safety training programs to employees and contractors.
  • Collaborate with organizational leadership to develop and implement safety initiatives that promote a culture of safety accountability.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health and Safety or a related field preferred.
  • Five or more years of experience in manufacturing safety, preferably in a custom metal fabrication or machining environment.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite and able to navigate and extract data from the ERP.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Understanding of OSHA rules and regulations.
  • OSHA 10 & 30 courses.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited College/University in Environmental Health & Safety, or Industrial Management.
  • Demonstrated success in implementing and maintaining the ISO 14000 family of standards and OSHAS 18001.
