Job Summary

The University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics Downtown Campus is seeking a highly skilled Imaging Technologist or Senior Imaging Technologist to join our team. This is a full-time position that requires excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate magnetic resonance scanners to obtain high-quality images for diagnostic purposes.
  • Prepare patients for MRI procedures, ensuring their safety and comfort throughout the process.
  • Maintain equipment and report any malfunctions to the appropriate supervisor.
  • Communicate effectively with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Perform computer functions, including PACS, RIS, and HIS, to manage patient data and images.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Radiologic Technology or a related field.
  • Current certification or eligibility for certification in diagnostic procedures by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
  • Current Permit to Practice issued by the Iowa Department of Public Health for all radiographers operating ionizing radiation emitting equipment.
  • At least one year of experience in MRI or a related field.
