Our OpportunityWe are seeking a highly skilled Senior Water Resources Scientist to join our Ecological and Biological Sciences Practice in our Burlington, MA office. In this role, you will work closely with our team to provide technical support on existing projects and business development efforts in the water resources arena.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement strategic business development plans to grow our water resources services globally.
- Provide technical expertise on water resources, including government regulations, environmental monitoring, site infrastructure, and production processes.
- Direct and support the conducting of analyses and preparing regulatory documents and expert reports.
- Synthesize technical information and apply creative and critical thinking to prepare and review reports and technical presentations.
- Develop and maintain professional status by authoring peer-reviewed publications and participating in technical conferences and activities of professional societies.
- Collaborate with other members of the Ecological and Biological Sciences Practice and interdisciplinary groups from other Exponent practices as needed.
- Ph.D. in Water Resources, Environmental Science, Ecology, Environmental Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 4 years of professional experience, with at least 2 years of direct consulting experience.
- Expert-level knowledge of water resources, including irrigation practices, pest management, and nutrient management.
- Working knowledge of farming practices.
- Strong understanding of scientific sampling methodologies and the state-of-science on a broad range of terrestrial, wildlife, soil, and water quality issues.
- Proven experience with data analysis and statistics.
- Proven experience managing tasks of moderate scope and complexity.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize multiple projects and tasks with competing deadlines, and communicate within multidisciplinary teams.
- Demonstrated ability in written and oral communications.
- Strong commitment to personal development and the development of staff.
