Role Summary
In the Engineering division at Ethos Life, our Technical Program Managers leverage their technical expertise to influence and drive collaborative projects across teams. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, thrive in a dynamic environment, and be eager to tackle complex challenges while demonstrating adaptability in leading critical initiatives. Success in this role requires exceptional organizational skills and the ability to perform under pressure in time-sensitive situations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and oversee comprehensive project plans, ensuring timely completion.
- Collaborate closely with engineering and product leaders to refine Ethos' product strategy and development.
- Provide active program management throughout all phases, including analysis, design, development, testing, implementation, and post-implementation.
- Drive enhancements in internal processes across teams to meet high-performance standards.
- Coordinate daily project activities and tasks.
- Fulfill the role of Scrum Master, applying agile methodologies and practices.
- Support teams in understanding agile and scrum frameworks.
- Facilitate roadmapping, sprint planning, retrospectives, demos, and scrum of scrums.
- Assist teams in balancing dependencies among performance, efficiency, and product features.
- Map interdependencies and relationships between projects and teams, coordinating efforts across various organizations.
- Communicate project status and overarching goals to stakeholders and leadership.
- Work independently with minimal oversight.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as an active Scrum Master in a software development setting.
- BA/BS degree or equivalent professional experience.
- Experience in developing, coaching, or managing teams.
