Key Responsibilities:
As a Civil Works Engineer, you will be tasked with the creation and refinement of design calculations, technical documentation, engineering plans, and specifications for various projects. Collaborating closely with the project manager, you will engage in research, development, calculations, design, and project delivery. Your role will involve applying engineering methodologies, standards, and design criteria for projects of varying sizes and complexities. You will utilize your technical expertise and client relationships to support the execution and assessment of project designs.

Specific Duties Include:
  • Completing assigned tasks within the designated schedule and hours.
  • Assisting in the formulation of project specifications.
  • Developing discipline-specific engineering project components such as reports, designs, and plans.
  • Facilitating coordination and productivity among project team members.
  • Providing technical mentorship to junior engineering staff.
  • Collaborating with other disciplines on multi-disciplinary projects.
  • Conducting quality control reviews of engineering project deliverables.
  • Assisting in the planning and scheduling of work within the discipline.
  • Performing additional duties as required.

Qualifications:
To be considered for this role, candidates should possess:
  • A Bachelor's degree in Engineering with 4 years of relevant experience, or
  • A Master's degree in Engineering with 3 years of relevant experience, or
  • A PhD in Engineering with 2 years of relevant experience.

Essential Skills:
Successful candidates will demonstrate:
  • Ability to optimize work processes with a focus on continuous improvement.
  • Independence in progressing designs and tasks within the discipline.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, MicroStation, AutoCAD, HEC-RAS, PCSWMM, and FEMA BCA toolkit.
  • A solid understanding of engineering principles, including geometric and algebraic concepts.
  • Effective time management and proactive communication regarding project needs.

Preferred Qualifications:
Professional Engineer (PE) certification is highly regarded.
