Key Responsibilities- Project Leadership: Assume leadership of project teams and coordinate the design aspects of projects, including the generation of calculations and design drawings.
- Technical Expertise: Oversee and manage the technical aspects of projects, including the assessment of project requirements, breaking down projects into tasks, and working with other engineers to determine scope of work, budget, and staffing.
- Design and Analysis: Prepare engineering studies and schematic design for new systems and analyze the operation of existing systems.
- Quality Control: Check all technical calculations and drawings for accuracy.
- Communication: Maintain communications between other engineers and other disciplines to ensure schedule and budget accuracy.
- Project Management: Responsible for man hour budget and schedule, and generates all appropriate discipline communication records for proper dissemination of project information.
- Education: Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university in Civil Engineering.
- Professional Registration: Professional Engineering registration, by examination, is required.
- Experience: Minimum of 8-10 years experience working as a Structural Engineer.
- Skills: Proficiency in STAAD Pro, MS Excel, MS Outlook, MS Windows, and MS Word is required. Knowledge of AutoCAD 2018 or newer version and 3-D drawing is a plus.
- Background: Experience working with a consulting engineering firm and knowledge of engineering design principles and practices as spelled out in the codes and standards.
