About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Behavioral Health Consultant to join our team at Neighborcare Health. As a Behavioral Health Consultant, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality, culturally sensitive health services to our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide brief behavioral health assessments and interventions for patients across the lifespan, addressing a range of psychopathology, substance misuse, and health-compromising behaviors.
  • Work collaboratively with primary care providers and consulting psychiatric providers to develop and implement effective treatment plans.
  • Utilize evidence-based treatments, including the Screening, Brief Intervention, and Referral to Treatment (SBIRT) model, to address substance use disorders.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient electronic medical charts, adhering to organizational policies and procedures.
  • Attend meetings and collaborate with other behavioral health staff to ensure seamless care coordination.
Requirements
  • Graduate degree (doctoral or masters) in a clinical mental health field.
  • Active, unrestricted mental health license in Washington State, with the ability to independently bill for services.
  • Experience providing behavioral health care in a team-based medical setting, with a focus on primary care integration.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 2+ years of relevant experience in behavioral health care.
  • Experience working with diverse patient populations, including those with complex medical and psychiatric needs.
