PruittHealth is seeking a skilled Maintenance Director to oversee the maintenance and upkeep of our facilities. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the physical plant and equipment are in safe operating condition, protecting the health and safety of patients, residents, staff, and the public.
Key Responsibilities:- Collect and review maintenance requisitions from various departments and units.
- Establish priorities, assign staff, and inspect, repair, or replace equipment as needed.
- Develop and implement scheduled maintenance programs for the physical plant and equipment.
- Ensure the emergency power system is functioning properly and maintain life support systems in the event of a power outage.
- Perform daily duties of maintenance staff and maintain essential equipment in safe operating condition.
- Establish procedures to ensure potable water availability in the event of a loss of normal water supply.
- Monitor temperature ranges and initiate repairs to eliminate hazards.
- Communicate with residents, families, and legal representatives to identify individual needs and abilities.
- Monitor maintenance staff performance, conduct compliance rounds, and develop maintenance policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with consultants, implement quality assurance functions, and participate in the development of the department budget.
- Hire and retain qualified maintenance staff to provide hazard-free, sanitary, and comfortable environments.
Requirements:
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- One year of experience in physical plant operations and equipment maintenance.
- Basic working knowledge of a computer (Microsoft Office Suite).
