Saratoga Hospital is seeking a highly skilled Physician Assistant to join our Bariatric Surgery and Weight Loss Program team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide exceptional patient care and support to our patients undergoing bariatric surgery and weight loss management.
Responsibilities- Provide perioperative management and weight loss management of bariatric patients in collaboration with our bariatric surgeon and team.
- Perform first assist duties, pre-operative and post-operative patient care management, and development of plan of care.
- Conduct intraoperative technique and expertise and postoperative care.
- Manage office responsibilities, including care of post-operative bariatric patients from hospital discharge, assessment and evaluation of lab work, patient testing, and medical weight loss management.
- Participate in team meetings and conferences to enhance an interdisciplinary approach to healthcare delivery.
- Develop and implement educational programs and quality improvement initiatives.
- One to two years of experience as a Physician Assistant in New York State.
- Current license to practice as a Physician Assistant in New York State.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a healthcare team.
