Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Disability Case Record Specialist to join our team at My Florida Corp Defunct. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing and processing disability claims, ensuring accurate and timely completion of tasks, and maintaining high-quality records.

Key Responsibilities
  • Initiate, develop, and maintain electronic record management activities related to Social Security and Medically Needy disability claims.
  • Review and process disability claims, ensuring completeness and accuracy of files.
  • Conduct initial file reviews, determine missing documentation, and initiate requests for additional information.
  • Input data into various systems, generate system-generated letters, and process electronic invoices.
  • Collate and prepare letters for mailing, respond to edits, and monitor CE authorizations.
  • Assist adjudicators with outstanding CE/MER authorizations and update exam/authorization status as needed.
  • Monitor and process clerical follow-up requests and updates in the Legacy system.
  • Complete closure process on completed claims, ensuring proper coding and electronic input into the Legacy system.
Requirements
  • General office or academic experience with data entry.
  • Ability to determine work priorities, assign work, and ensure proper completion of work assignments.
  • Knowledge of the SSA computer system and ability to generate MER and CE, process electronic invoices, schedule CEs, and scan documents.
  • Ability to analyze and gather information through review of files and identify missing/needed documentation.
  • Ability to read and apply applicable regulatory policies, procedures, and guidelines.
  • Basic knowledge of medical terminology.
