RN / Infection Prevention Specialist / Full Time

The Good Samaritan Society is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our team as an Infection Prevention Specialist and Minimum Data Set (MDS) Coordinator. This is a full-time position that requires a strong commitment to providing high-quality care to our residents.
Responsibilities- Utilize the nursing process to provide individualized care to residents, including assessment, diagnosis, outcomes/planning, implementation, and evaluation.
- Collaborate with the resident, family, or advocate, and other interdisciplinary colleagues to ensure ongoing care and provide the best quality of life possible.
- Lead the Resident Assessment Instrument (RAI) process and complete resident assessments upon admission, quarterly, and annually.
- Develop and implement care plans that meet the unique needs of each resident.
- Provide education and support to residents, families, and staff to promote a culture of safety and quality care.
- Graduate from a National League of Nursing (NLN) or American Association of Colleges of Nursing (AACN) accredited nursing program.
- Currently holds an unencumbered RN license with the State Board of Nursing where the practice of nursing is occurring.
- Obtains and maintains required certifications and completes required continuous education units (CEU) and competency training.
