Position Summary

The Project Coordinator oversees all facets of intricate projects from initiation to completion.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise multiple job sites to ensure effective management throughout all construction phases, including pre-construction, construction, closeout, and post-construction.
  • Develop and implement project work plans, adjusting as necessary to meet evolving requirements.
  • Identify necessary resources and delegate responsibilities accordingly.
  • Oversee daily project operations and scope management.
  • Manage estimating and pricing components of projects, ensuring accurate and comprehensive estimates and adjustments as required.
  • Review team deliverables prior to client submission, ensuring adherence to project standards and methodologies.
  • Maintain complete and current project documentation, ensuring proper storage and accessibility.
  • Formulate cost-effective plans and schedules for project completion, optimizing resource utilization.
  • Coordinate subcontractor activities across various project phases.
  • Monitor trade contractor performance and ensure compliance with architectural and engineering specifications.
  • Administer construction contracts and secure all necessary permits and licenses.
  • Supervise Project Engineers, addressing any reported issues and ensuring safety compliance.
  • Identify potential disputes and claims in project design and construction.
  • Ensure construction activities align with established schedules and profitability forecasts, regularly monitoring progress and conducting status meetings.
  • Manage project accounting, including budget oversight and expense tracking, while minimizing risks.
  • Report progress and necessary modifications to stakeholders.

Qualifications

A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or Construction Science is required. A minimum of 5 years of experience in assisting or supervising construction projects of increasing complexity is essential. Candidates must demonstrate the ability to work under pressure and coordinate multiple activities effectively. Previous experience in developing accurate project estimates and pricing reports is preferred. Strong oral and written communication skills are necessary.


Physical Requirements

The physical demands of this role require the ability to sit, communicate, reach, and manipulate objects, tools, or controls. Mobility is essential, with duties involving the movement of materials weighing up to 10 pounds regularly and up to 25 pounds occasionally. Manual dexterity and coordination are required for over 50% of the work period while operating standard office equipment.


Work Environment

This position operates in a professional office environment, utilizing standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines. Collaboration, team building, and strong supervisor/employee relationships are fundamental to our work culture. This role is not performed remotely; employees are expected to work on-site.
