We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Project Manager to join our team at HITT Contracting. As a key member of our commercial construction team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the successful delivery of projects on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities- Coordinate and distribute project information and authorizations to ensure timely and efficient project execution.
- Assist in creating and managing project budgets, including developing pre-construction RFP packages and conducting project meetings.
- Establish and maintain job processes, including approving pay applications and negotiating subcontract change orders.
- Collaborate with project superintendents and site operations teams to ensure project quality control and overall project logistics.
- Assist in managing the closeout process and ensuring compliance with HITT's standards of safety.
- High school diploma required; four-year degree from an accredited university with a concentration in construction, engineering, or business preferred.
- 2-5 years' experience in commercial construction, including experience with a commercial general contractor.
- Previous experience on commercial job sites strongly preferred.
- Strong communication and organizational skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and sector/project-specific software systems, including ProCore, Adobe, and BlueBeam.
