Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Software Quality Assurance Engineer to join our team at HighByte, an industrial software company based in Portland, Maine. This is a full-time position that requires a strong passion for delivering high-quality software products and collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities
  • Contribute to quality assurance practices and processes to ensure the delivery of high-quality software products.
  • Design, develop, modify automated and manual tests for new and existing software to meet customer requirements.
  • Collaborate with product managers and engineers to understand customer needs and develop effective test procedures.
  • Direct system testing and validation procedures to ensure software meets industry standards.
  • Communicate effectively with colleagues, partners, and end-users to ensure seamless integration of software solutions.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent foreign degree in computer science or related field.
  • 2+ years of professional software testing experience in B2B software development, preferably in the United States or overseas.
  • Experience with various technologies, including SQL, AWS, Microsoft Azure, Docker, REST, JSON, MQTT, networks, and security.
  • Familiarity with agile software development methodologies, such as Scrum.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
Estimated Salary Range: $80,000 - $110,000 per year
