About the OpportunityJackson & MacNichol is seeking a talented and compassionate Veterans Disability Benefits Advocate to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated individual to work with veterans and their families to secure the benefits they deserve.

Job DescriptionThis is a full-time, remote position that requires strong legal research skills, exceptional communication abilities, and a passion for helping others. As a Veterans Disability Benefits Advocate, you will be responsible for preparing clients for hearings, reviewing medical records, and advocating on behalf of veterans before the Board of Veterans' Appeals.

Responsibilities- Prepare clients for hearings by reviewing medical records, conducting research, and developing effective strategies- Represent veterans at hearings before the Board of Veterans' Appeals- Review and analyze medical evidence to build strong cases- Collaborate with case managers to ensure seamless client care- Stay up-to-date on changes in veterans' disability law and regulations- Develop and implement effective case management systems- Communicate effectively with clients, colleagues, and other stakeholders- Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay current on best practices and industry developments

Requirements- Currently admitted to the bar in a U.S. state or territory- Preferred: VA accreditation, veterans disability or social security experience- Strong legal research skills and attention to detail- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills- Ability to work independently and as part of a team- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities- Familiarity with remote work tools and software- Experience with case management software a plus
