About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and customer-focused Patient Services Coordinator to join our team at Tennessee Cancer Specialists. As a key member of our cancer care team, you will play a vital role in ensuring a positive and consistent experience for our patients and their families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist patients through the check-in and/or check-out process, providing a warm and welcoming experience from the moment they arrive.
  • Use your exceptional communication skills to greet and build rapport with patients, while also completing the check-in process in a timely manner.
  • Provide red carpet customer service through your willingness to ask appropriate questions to assess patient needs and provide necessary information.
  • Collect copays and patient balances as necessary, and provide receipt of payment to patients.
  • Coordinate with patients and clinical staff to provide appointment scheduling that is both convenient for patients and in accordance with physician and/or office guidelines.
  • Use your knowledge of Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems and other medical office technology to navigate, effectively chart patient information, and communicate with other staff members within the EMR.
  • Maintain a tidy and organized lobby and desk area, ensuring a professional and welcoming environment for patients and staff.
Requirements
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required, with an associate's degree in a business-related field preferred.
  • Proficiency with computer systems and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.) is a must.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to sit for long periods of time, with occasional stooping, bending, and stretching for supplies.
  • Ability to lift up to 40 pounds, with sufficient manual dexterity for operating office equipment.
