Job Overview

WSP is excited to announce an opportunity for a Full-Time Geotechnical & Tunneling Engineer. Join our dynamic Geotechnical & Tunneling Team and contribute to impactful projects that address our clients' needs and challenges.

Your Contributions
  • Lead and execute geotechnical engineering assessments and designs for infrastructure initiatives across various locations, including tunnels, foundations for bridges and buildings, highways, and slope stability.
  • Plan and oversee subsurface exploration for diverse projects, producing comprehensive geotechnical documentation such as baseline, interpretive, and data reports.
  • Supervise and mentor geotechnical and underground engineering personnel.
  • Utilize advanced geotechnical engineering methodologies to enhance project phases from conceptualization through to operation.
  • Provide expert engineering judgment on geotechnical aspects of construction endeavors, ensuring thorough design and construction evaluations.
  • Develop detailed construction documentation, specifications, and cost projections for underground and foundational components of infrastructure projects.
  • Manage and coordinate cross-disciplinary teams of engineers, planners, and scientific experts to deliver project outcomes on multiple simultaneous initiatives.
  • Engage with regulatory bodies, subcontractors, and clients in a professional and confident manner.
  • Collaborate with diverse teams to craft competitive proposals for a wide array of WSP projects.
  • Undertake additional responsibilities as dictated by business requirements.
Qualifications

Essential
  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering with a focus on Geotechnical Engineering
  • 7+ years of pertinent experience in geotechnical engineering
  • PE registration in the United States with the capability to obtain state licenses through reciprocity
  • Demonstrated ethical decision-making in managing company resources and adherence to WSP's Code of Conduct
  • Strong self-management skills with a focus on detail, results, and the ability to juggle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Capacity to learn new methodologies, manage various tasks concurrently, follow directives, work autonomously, and comply with company protocols
  • Proven commitment to workplace safety and compliance with WSP's health, safety, and drug/alcohol policies
Desirable
  • Master's Degree in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering

Compensation:

Expected Salary Range: $138,510 - $169,290

WSP USA provides this compensation range based on the successful applicant's qualifications and internal equity considerations. The final salary may vary based on individual circumstances.
