Wax Inspector

We are seeking a skilled Wax Inspector to join our team at Howmet Aerospace. As a Wax Inspector, you will be responsible for inspecting cored wax patterns and/or cores using nondestructive testing (radiography) to discover detrimental discontinuities, inclusions, and other irregularities below the surfaces. You will also conduct quality audits, disposition (accept or reject) according to engineering specifications, and perform visual inspection on all DS and SC wax clusters prior to dipping them into the monoshell slurry, sorting out those requiring rework.
Responsibilities- Inspect cored wax patterns and/or cores using nondestructive testing (radiography) to discover detrimental discontinuities, inclusions, and other irregularities below the surfaces.
- Conduct quality audits to ensure compliance with engineering specifications.
- Disposition (accept or reject) according to engineering specifications.
- Perform visual inspection on all DS and SC wax clusters prior to dipping them into the monoshell slurry, sorting out those requiring rework.
- High school diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
- Minimum of two years work experience; or six months continuous manufacturing experience.
- Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
