Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused professional to manage the day-to-day operations of our residence halls during the summer semester. The ideal candidate will have experience working in residence life or a related field and possess excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Key Responsibilities

">

As a Summer Residence Life Program Coordinator, you will be responsible for:

  • ">
  • Coordinating summer camps and conferences, including logistics, programming, and staff supervision;

    ">">
  • Assisting with the recruitment and training of student employees and summer para-professional staff;

    ">">
  • Providing support for summer stakeholder meetings and contract negotiations;

    ">">
  • Maintaining accurate records and databases for summer operations;

    ">">
  • Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to ensure seamless program delivery;

    ">">
  • Responding to emergencies and providing on-call support as needed;

    ">">
  • Other duties as assigned by the Program Manager – Off Campus Housing & Summer Operations.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Master's degree in Higher Education Administration, Student Affairs, or a related field;

    ">">
  • At least 2 years of experience working in residence life or a related field;

    ">">
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills;

    ">">
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team;

    ">">
  • Flexibility to work varied hours, including evenings and weekends.

What We Offer

Texas Tech University offers a competitive salary range of $40,000 - $45,000 per year, depending on qualifications and experience. In addition to your base salary, you will also receive benefits such as health insurance, retirement plan, and paid time off.

The university provides a fully furnished one-bedroom apartment within the assigned residence hall complex, which includes utilities, small kitchen unit, and internet access. A meal plan is provided while the dining halls are in service, and reserved parking is available upon the individual purchase of a campus parking permit.
