We are looking for a dependable and conscientious Driver to fulfill essential transportation duties. The Driver will be tasked with the safe and timely delivery of goods, materials, and individuals to their respective destinations.
Key Responsibilities
The Driver will ensure the safe transportation of residents within the community, which includes taking them to appointments and scheduled activities three days a week. Under the guidance of the Operations Director, the Driver is responsible for identifying and resolving any issues related to the company’s transportation vehicles, thereby enhancing resident satisfaction and ensuring a secure travel experience.
Essential Duties

- Participate in required training sessions and meetings.
- Comprehend and follow written instructions and communications.
- Collaborate effectively within an interdisciplinary team.

- Uphold the highest standards of personal and professional integrity.
- Respect and uphold Resident Rights.
- Engage with residents in a courteous manner.
- Respond promptly to requests from residents and their families.
- Make independent decisions when necessary.
- Deliver exceptional service to residents, guests, and colleagues.
Resident Care Responsibilities
- Ensure the safety and well-being of residents during transport.
- Apply knowledge of infection control and universal precautions.
Additional Responsibilities
- Provide transportation for residents to medical appointments and errands.
- Assist with transportation for new residents to the community.
- Maintain a daily transportation schedule.
- Understand and utilize vehicle restraint systems properly.
- Monitor the condition of vehicles and report any issues to the Operations Director.
- Be knowledgeable about the bus and its lift equipment.
- Anticipate and resolve any scheduling conflicts.
- Deliver outstanding customer service.
- Perform additional transportation duties as required.
- Collaborate with maintenance on projects when possible.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to sit, stand, bend, lift, push, pull, stoop, walk, and move frequently during working hours.
- Capability to transport up to 60 pounds over varying distances and work in confined spaces or at heights exceeding 8-9 feet.
- Assist in the evacuation of residents when necessary.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Demonstrated ability to make independent judgments that align with the company's standards.
- Basic computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and operation of standard office equipment.
- Valid driver's license and a clean driving record are required.
- Previous driving experience is preferred.
