Job Summary

We're seeking a highly skilled Transmission Line Engineering Manager to join our growing Power Delivery team. As a key member of our team, you'll be responsible for leading the technical execution of transmission projects, developing project execution plans, and mentoring junior engineers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leverage your technical expertise to manage and execute the engineering and design components of transmission projects.
  • Develop and implement project execution plans for the technical aspect of transmission projects.
  • Work independently or lead a team of engineers, designers, and technicians to deliver high-quality results.
  • Support the technical aspect of scope, schedule, and budget, including proposal development and progress assessment.
  • Coordinate and lead the QA/QC process on projects, ensuring compliance with HDR's Quality Management Systems.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
  • 10+ years of transmission line engineering experience in the electric utility and/or renewables industry.
  • Proven experience in transmission line design using PLS-CADD, steel and wood transmission structure analysis/design, and foundation design.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
  • PE license or equivalent.
  • Experience working with renewables developers and/or the interconnection of renewables.
