Job Title: Electrical Engineer II

Are you a skilled Electrical Engineer looking for a challenging role? We have an exciting opportunity for an Electrical Engineer II to join our team at PDS Tech Commercial.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform thermal capability analysis for transmission lines, power transformers, circuit breakers, switches, series and shunt reactors.
  • Maintain databases and PSSE models containing rating and impedance information for various transmission circuits, transformers and related equipment.
  • Implement policies and procedures relative to Transmission Planning.
  • Resolve technical issues that may arise in different phases of a project.
  • Lead and supervise a project team or virtual teams to achieve business objectives.
  • Experience with state-of-the-art techniques in power flow, and short circuit analysis PSS/E, MUST, PROBE, ASPEN and/or PowerGem TARA is preferred.
  • Familiarity with transmission planning standards and criteria of NERC, NPCC is also preferred.

Requirements:

  • W-2 position, NO C2C or 1099.
  • Experience within an RTO (such as ISO-NE, NYISO, PJM, CAISO etc.) planning processes is preferred.
