Job SummaryWe are seeking a skilled Refrigeration Service Technician to join our team. As a Refrigeration Service Technician, you will be responsible for repairing and maintaining refrigeration and HVAC equipment, as well as providing preventative maintenance activities to ensure the efficient operation of our customers' systems.
Responsibilities- Repair and overhaul refrigeration and HVAC equipment, including compressors, water pumps, air handlers, and electrical and mechanical control devices.
- Test malfunctioning systems and components using electrical and/or mechanical skills.
- Maintain accurate records of work history and provide general repair work on refrigeration, heating, and ventilation equipment.
- Perform preventative maintenance activities, diagnose equipment malfunctions, and operate mechanical equipment efficiently.
- Work on minor construction and remodeling projects, including startups of new installations.
- Completion of a refrigeration technician training program (HVACR) from a technical school or completion of a technical program from a JR College.
- Valid EPA certificate.
- 1-3 years of commercial refrigeration experience required.
- Equivalent passing grade, 80% or better, on Tek Skills Level 3 test.
- Experience working on refrigeration equipment in convenience stores or supermarkets is a strong plus.
- Good driving record and ability to work independently.
- Emergency on-call availability is a basic requirement.
- Ability to lift up to 60 lbs. with no assistance and sit and/or stand for several hours.
