Quality Control Inspector

Mastronardi Produce Limited is seeking a skilled Quality Control Inspector to join our team in Laredo, TX. As a Quality Control Inspector, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality of our produce meets customer specifications.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct physical inspections of tomatoes, peppers, and cucumbers to verify quality and conformity to specifications.
  • Perform quality control inspections to confirm product meets criteria, including color, size, condition, and weight.
  • Report non-conformance findings to the responsible department Supervisor/Lead.
  • Ensure accurate allocation and validation of correct product for shipment to customers.
  • Verify labeling specifications are adhered to.
  • Flex between Production and Shipping Dock to ensure all "hot" orders are inspected.
  • Collect data and generate a non-compliance report for all items on receiving dock.
  • Utilize JDA and NAV to input product status updates.
  • Ensure product packaging is in quality condition for our customers.
Requirements:
  • High School degree or equivalent required.
  • Minimum of 1-year work experience required, preferably in a warehouse environment or produce/grocery industry.
  • Experience in Quality Control/Inspection/Auditor work is desired.
  • Ability to use and read measuring devices such as scales, calipers, and ruler.
  • Proficiency in English language with the ability to communicate effectively and professionally.
  • Computer proficiency with MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Working Conditions:
  • Work in a refrigerated warehouse with controlled temperature zones.
  • Must be able to lift up to 30 lbs. with or without accommodation.
  • Position requires sitting, standing, walking, and bending on a regular basis.
