About Atelier Crenn


Founded by Dominique Crenn in January 2011, Atelier Crenn is a tribute to "poetic culinaria." The restaurant quickly earned its first Michelin Star that same year and followed with a second the next year. In 2018, it became the first female-led restaurant in the US to achieve three Michelin Stars. Atelier Crenn has since evolved to narrate the story of California through its cuisine, emphasizing local fish, seafood, and produce sourced from its own regenerative farm in Sonoma.

Wage Range: $19 - $25 per hour plus tips

Position Title: Culinary Assistant

Reports to: Sous Chef

Secondary report: Chef de Cuisine

Main Role

Crenn Dining Group is on the lookout for a dedicated and enthusiastic Culinary Assistant to become part of our vibrant culinary team. Under the innovative guidance of Chef Dominique Crenn, our establishment is renowned for its avant-garde approach to California cuisine, continuously pushing the limits of culinary artistry. Responsibilities:

Assist in Food Preparation:

  • Execute and supervise the preparation of exceptional dishes in line with Atelier Crenn's culinary standards.
  • Ensure consistency and precision in all facets of food production, aligning with the restaurant's distinctive style and vision.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization at your designated station throughout service, adhering to health and safety regulations.
  • Follow recipes, portion controls, and presentation guidelines as established by the Executive Chef, ensuring excellence in every dish.
  • Safely and effectively utilize all necessary tools and equipment, including knives.
  • Work efficiently in a confined, bustling environment with varying noise and temperature levels.
  • Ability to lift and move items weighing up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
  • Navigate safely through all areas of the restaurant, including stairs and uneven surfaces.

Qualities & Skills Required:

  • Completion of a culinary program or equivalent experience.
  • A genuine passion for the culinary arts and a commitment to creating exceptional dining experiences.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment; strong communication skills are essential.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to Atelier Crenn's unique culinary style and techniques.
  • Ability to multitask calmly and effectively under pressure.
