Job Summary:

The Receiving Department Manager is responsible for overseeing the receiving and processing of merchandise at Restaurant Depot. This role requires strong leadership and organizational skills to ensure accurate and efficient inventory management.

Key Responsibilities:

Ensure accuracy of item description and counts for all incoming and outgoing shipments.

Verify accuracy of all UPC numbers for all incoming and outgoing shipments.

Maintain accurate records of incoming and outgoing Purchase Orders.

Ensure Goods Received Book (GRB) and any Adjustment Vouchers (AVs) are current and accurate.

Supervise Receiving Clerks and ensure they are accurately entering all received items on the day they were received.

Maintain open communication with the Logistics Department to ensure smooth operations.

Perform monthly self-audits to identify areas for improvement.

Requirements:

Minimum 1 year of experience in a similar role.

Strong communication and leadership skills.

Ability to calculate figures and amounts accurately.

Computer literacy and proficiency in inventory management systems.

Physical ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods.

Work Environment:

The Receiving Department Manager will work in a fast-paced warehouse environment with frequent exposure to industrial vehicles and equipment. The ideal candidate will be able to work effectively in a team environment and maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
