Job Title: Direct Support Professional

AEDD is seeking a qualified Direct Support Professional to provide support to an individual with a developmental disability in Little Rock. The ideal candidate will have a valid AR driver's license, proof of auto liability insurance, and be at least 21 years old.

Job Summary: The Direct Support Professional will provide support for an individual to live independently in an apartment, duplex, or home, and assist with daily living skills and activities of daily living.

  • Provide support with health and independent living skills
  • Assist with maintaining appropriate behavior and respect for others
  • Assist with daily living skills as outlined in the annual Medicaid Waiver Person Centered Service Plan
  • Participate in outings to increase community awareness
  • Provide transportation as needed
  • Maintain records of money spent for consumers
  • Provide input and recommendations for consumers during Annual PCSP plan
  • Document consumer's daily progress
  • Complete required training
  • Turn in weekly timesheets and documentation

Qualifications: High School Diploma or equivalent, and at least one year of relevant work experience or two years of verifiable experience with individuals with developmental disabilities.

Physical Demands: Regularly required to stand, frequently required to use hands to handle objects, and occasionally required to walk, reach, and lift up to 100 pounds.

Work Environment: Moderate noise level, and exposure to changing weather conditions while traveling by automobile.
