About the Role

PennState Health is seeking a highly skilled Sterile Processing Technician to join our team. As a Sterile Processing Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the highest level of patient care by processing and sterilizing medical instruments and equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Process and sterilize medical instruments and equipment to ensure they are safe for patient use.
  • Assist in the orientation and training of new staff members.
  • Work collaboratively with the sterile processing team to ensure efficient and effective processing of instruments and equipment.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports of processing and sterilization activities.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Must have full certification as a Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST).
  • Must have 400 hours of hands-on experience in sterile processing.
  • Must complete 10 hours of continuing education annually.
