PennState Health is seeking a highly skilled Pharmacy Technician to join our team in a dynamic and patient-centered environment. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a vital role in supporting our pharmacists in providing exceptional patient care.
Key Responsibilities- Assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications to patients, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of patient medication profiles, including medication orders and dispensing information.
- Conduct inventory management and ordering of medications and supplies, ensuring optimal stock levels and minimizing waste.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to provide patient education and support, promoting medication adherence and optimal health outcomes.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives, identifying areas for improvement and contributing to process enhancements.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Six (6) months (within the past three years) of experience in a pharmacy setting.
- Ability to obtain certification from the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) within six (6) months.
