Cafaro Company is in search of a dynamic professional with a robust marketing background to oversee the comprehensive responsibilities of the marketing department. The ideal candidate will possess experience in advertising, public relations, and event coordination, coupled with a successful history in sales and sponsorship. This role entails the development and execution of marketing strategies, management of promotional activities, and oversight of marketing budgets. Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and implement new strategies to enhance promotional revenue, aiming to meet the promotional income targets set by the corporate marketing team.
  • Conduct and analyze market research relevant to the shopping center, utilizing findings to inform the marketing strategy.
  • Develop, seek approval for, and execute a comprehensive marketing plan for the shopping center, outlining marketing objectives, strategies for achieving them, and metrics for evaluating success, focusing on profitability.
  • Prepare and manage an annual marketing budget for the shopping center, detailing revenue sources and expenses related to administration, promotions, and advertising.
  • Maintain regular, in-person communication with all merchants to foster collaboration and enthusiasm among the management team and merchants.
  • Engage with community organizations in a public relations role to position the shopping center as a community hub, partnering with local media and businesses for event sponsorship.
  • Understand and uphold the Merchants' Association By-Laws, ensuring compliance with all provisions. Manage the Marketing Fund in accordance with established procedures.
  • Organize and facilitate meetings for the Merchants' Association or Advisory Board, as well as any other committees related to the shopping center's marketing efforts.
  • Oversee the management of office supplies and equipment, and monitor marketing payroll and insurance obligations.
  • Maintain an organized inventory of promotional materials, seasonal decorations, and supplies, ensuring easy access for staff members.
  • Participate as a member of the mall office staff, contributing positively to team dynamics.
  • Stay informed about industry trends through trade publications and networking with corporate marketing managers and industry peers.
  • Engage in corporate advertising, marketing, and promotional initiatives, maximizing benefits for the shopping center.
  • Maintain open communication with the corporate marketing office, keeping them informed of daily operations and issues affecting the center.
  • Demonstrate strong sales acumen, including the ability to schedule meetings and present proposals to key decision-makers, generating revenue through sponsorships and advertising.
  • Willingness to travel as necessary.
  • Proficient in social media platforms and capable of managing updates and content for the shopping center's online presence.
