Job Title: Lecturer in Computer Science

We are seeking a highly qualified Lecturer in Computer Science to join our faculty at the University of Connecticut. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching undergraduate courses in computer science, developing curriculum, and mentoring students.

Responsibilities:
  • Teach undergraduate courses in computer science, including introductory programming, data structures, and algorithms.
  • Develop and implement curriculum to meet the needs of our students.
  • Mentor students in research, outreach, and professional development.
  • Contribute to the diversity and excellence of the learning experience.
Requirements:
  • Master's degree in computing sciences or a related field.
  • Proven record of potential in teaching.
  • Demonstrated commitment to promoting diversity and enhancing inclusion.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Expertise in several areas of computer science.
  • Outstanding record of teaching.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with students in both large and small audiences.
Appointment Terms:

This is a full-time, 9-month, annually renewable non-tenure-track position with the possibility of subsequent annual academic-year reappointment, contingent on positive reviews and program funding.
