Position Overview
This role functions as the Chief Nursing Officer for the organization, holding responsibility for the effective administration and oversight of all nursing operations and patient care protocols within a designated Memorial Hermann facility. The incumbent is accountable for strategic direction and decision-making, financial outcomes, adherence to regulatory standards (national, state, and local), patient satisfaction, safety, quality of care, productivity, and the promotion of our Partners-in-Caring philosophy. Furthermore, this position entails fostering positive relationships with medical staff and various hospital departments. In the absence of the Hospital CEO, the incumbent shares responsibilities with the Hospital COO and CFO. Additionally, the incumbent engages in system-wide initiatives aimed at enhancing efficiencies and collaboration across divisions.Key Responsibilities
Minimum Qualifications
Education: A Master's degree in a relevant field is required. If the Master's degree is not in Nursing, a Bachelor's or Doctoral degree in Nursing is necessary.
Licenses/Certifications: Must be licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Texas.
Experience / Knowledge / Skills:
- A minimum of 12 years of progressive nursing experience is required.
- At least eight (8) years of management or leadership experience is required.

- Oversees and directs budget preparation to achieve financial and operational objectives for the hospital and nursing division.
- Ensures that operations within areas of accountability meet or exceed budgetary projections.
- Guarantees that operations within areas of accountability meet or exceed customer and physician satisfaction levels.
- Ensures personnel adhere to Memorial Hermann's Behavioral Expectations; reviews feedback and surveys to identify opportunities for enhancing patient services and resolving issues; maintains a strong reputation for both the department and the hospital.
- Develops, maintains, and assesses organizational systems that support the execution of strategic plans for the hospital and nursing division.
- Evaluates organizational systems to facilitate the delivery of nursing care, staying informed on new healthcare developments and identifying opportunities for business growth and new patient care services.
