General Cleaner Job Description

Job Overview

Gana-A'Yoo Services Corporation is seeking a part-time General Cleaner to maintain the cleanliness and orderliness of our facilities. This role involves performing routine cleaning tasks, maintaining safety protocols, and supporting the overall objectives of the team.

Responsibilities

  • Cleaning and Sanitation
    • Clean building floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming.
    • Gather and empty trash.
    • Clean windows, glass, partitions, and mirrors using soapy water or other cleaners, sponges, and squeegees.
    • Service, clean, and supply restrooms.
    • Clean and polish furniture and fixtures.
  • Maintenance of Safety Protocols
    • Adhere to all safety procedures and use of proper PPE.
    • Adhere to all Occupation Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) and Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and applicable state and local environmental, health and safety rules and regulations.
  • Incidental Tasks and Support
    • Perform incidental tasks related to the position as well as various duties, as assigned, to support the overall objectives/goals of the team while maintaining a positive attitude.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED.
  • U.S. citizenship or lawful permanent resident required.
  • Minimum one (1) year janitorial experience.
  • Must have the ability to carry heavy objects of up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to push, pull, stoop, bend or stand for long periods of time.
  • Ability to pass a background and drug screening.
