Scrum Master Job Description

Spalding Consulting, a professional services firm specializing in Information Technology (IT), Program Management, and Financial Management, is seeking a skilled Scrum Master to join their team in Patuxent River, MD.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will serve as the Scrum Master for a team of software developers responsible for several web application projects. This role requires strong leadership and communication skills, as well as the ability to facilitate Agile methodologies and ensure project success.

Key Responsibilities
  • Gather customer requirements and develop user stories following Agile methodologies
  • Measure, monitor, and report on project performance and milestones
  • Research, recommend, and implement software development techniques, best practices, and processes
  • Other duties as assigned or required
Requirements and Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience supervising, leading, managing, or performing in a senior role for IT or software development projects. A Certified Scrum Master/Scrum Practitioner certification is preferred, as is experience with Team Foundation Server.

The successful candidate must be eligible to obtain a Secret Clearance and have a BS or BA degree in Computer Science, Information Systems/Technology, Engineering, Business, or Mathematics.
