Praxair is seeking an On-Site Gas Service Manager to oversee the management of cylinder and equipment inventory at customer locations. This role is essential for ensuring the safe and efficient distribution of gas products and services.

The On-Site Gas Service Manager will be responsible for optimizing delivery schedules, managing inventory, and ensuring seamless operations at customer sites.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate cylinder orders, including communication with the plant and management of local inventories.
    • Handle various gases, including industrial, specialty, and medical gases.
    • Manage inhaled nitric oxide and related equipment as necessary.
    • Acquire knowledge of relevant standards such as CGA, NFPA, and DOT.
  • Ensure proper handling and disbursement of cylinders in compliance with NFPA 99.
  • Retrieve cylinders while adhering to safety protocols.
  • Manage billing processes, including communication with the plant and utilizing tracking systems.
  • Interact with customers, including clinical staff and facility personnel.
  • Utilize JD Edwards for order entry and inventory tracking.
  • Oversee the management of all in-use and depleted cylinders.
  • Manage equipment and related disposables inventory.
  • Identify and communicate potential sales opportunities.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to medical devices.

•Conduct required maintenance and calibration of devices
  • Be available for after-hours on-call duties, which may involve site visits.
  • Perform other assigned tasks as needed.
Qualifications:
Requirements
  • High School Diploma / GED is required; additional education or trade skills are preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with customers and internal teams.
  • Proficiency in computer systems is necessary.
  • A clean driving record is essential.
  • Ability to pass security clearance for access to various facilities is required.
  • Knowledge of cylinder gases is highly advantageous.
  • Must be capable of safely moving heavy loads, including carts weighing up to 1200 lbs.
  • Ability to lift and move items weighing up to 40 lbs.
