Are you prepared to embrace a pivotal leadership position at the WMU Homer Stryker M.D. School of Medicine? We are in search of a dedicated and seasoned Nurse Manager to enhance our operations in Southwest Michigan. As a Nurse Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing specialty care clinics, which encompass OB/GYN/MFM, pediatric subspecialties, surgical services, and infectious diseases. Your key duties will include:

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee and make administrative decisions regarding specialty care clinical services.
  • Verify and submit clinical competencies for staff members.
  • Coordinate daily and monthly schedules effectively.
  • Orient new clinical personnel and provide continuous training.
  • Maintain updated job descriptions for all staff.
  • Ensure adherence to licensing and certification standards.
  • Conduct performance evaluations for clinical support personnel.
  • Manage clinical supplies efficiently.
  • Engage in patient care collaboratively within a team.
  • Monitor staffing levels and workflows diligently.
  • Collaborate with clinical leadership for survey preparation.
  • Address patient care needs and resolve complaints.
  • Maintain occurrence reports and ensure compliance.
  • Participate in quality improvement and patient safety initiatives.
  • Develop clinical policies and practice guidelines.
  • Stay informed about new technologies and procedures.
  • Engage in process improvement projects.
  • Monitor staff productivity and assist in staffing benchmarks and budgeting.
  • Develop Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Execute other assigned responsibilities as needed.
Qualifications:
  • BSN is required; a Master's degree is preferred.
  • A minimum of three years' experience in a clinical specialty ambulatory setting.
  • A minimum of three years' experience in supervising staff.
