- Leadership in Nursing Practice: Lead initiatives that drive change and empower nursing staff to enhance practice standards and patient outcomes across the organization.
- Collaborative Efforts: Work in partnership with healthcare professionals to optimize clinical results, fostering effective communication and teamwork.
- Coaching and Mentorship: Guide and mentor nursing staff in acquiring new skills, translating research into practice, and enhancing clinical team effectiveness.
- Research Participation: Contribute to nursing science by engaging in research activities, evaluating patient care delivery, and integrating evidence-based practices into care.
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Nursing (MSN) or equivalent.
- Minimum of two years of relevant clinical nursing experience.
- Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in Michigan.
- Certification as an Advanced Practice Nurse in pediatric nursing.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications required during the orientation period.
Skills and Competencies
- Strong analytical, organizational, and prioritization skills.
- Proficient in various software applications.
- Exceptional communication and negotiation abilities.
- Ability to work effectively in inter-professional teams.
Work Environment
This role involves a significant amount of mental and visual engagement, with tasks requiring close attention to detail. Physical demands include lifting and handling moderately heavy objects. The CNS will be expected to maintain high standards of patient care while managing multiple responsibilities efficiently.
